As an alternative to window hinges, friction hingescan also be used. The main advantages of friction hinges are that they are invisible when the window is closed and the window can stay open in any position.
The condition for the latter is that the friction hinges are correctly dimensioned in relation to the size and weight of the window.
Often we see that windows will close by themselves due to the wrong choice of hinges and wear of the integrated friction-brake. This is mostly solved by using window stays. However, this eliminates the advantage of continuous opening in any position.

All of our friction hinges and parallel hinges are specially dimensioned for aluminum profile systems. However, if properly milled in, they can also be used in most wooden window frames.
