OPTICAL SMOKE DETECTOR RM-3000
The optical smoke detector RM-3000 works on the scattered light principle. A light transmitter and receiver are mounted in the plastic housing. The light beam does not hit the receiver in normal condition. As soon as smoke particles are detected in the air between the transmitter and receiver, the light beam will spread (the Tyndall Effect) and also hit the receiver. At that moment an electrical signal will give an alarm signal to the SHE(V) control-unit. At approximately 3% fire smoke in the air, the smoke detector will give an alarm signal.
