Solenoid Locks

With solenoid locks, the operation of the doorhandle (s) is controlled by an electrical voltage. Usually, you can choose between a one or two-sided controlled solenoid lock. One-side controlled solenoid locks can be controlled on one side with an electrical signal, while the doorhandle at the other side always remains activated. With double-side controlled solenoid locks, the handles on both sides can be controlled with an electrical signal.
Additionally, most solenoid locks are available in a fail secure (fail locked) and a fail safe (fail unlocked) version, allowing you to choose whether or not the doorhandle(s) should function in the event of a power failure.

The electrical signal for controlling a solenoid lock can come from different sources such as an access control system or home automation system.
